Y/OURS

You’ll often hear that it’s the responsibility of
the consumer or end-user to make better environmental decisions about the products and materials they choose. That’s nonsense.

It’s the manufacturers, producers, industry sectors and Government that must step up to the plate. It’s on this group to provide and incentivise solutions that are fundamentally healthier for people and the environment we inhabit together.

The Autex Future Lab mission

Autex Industries began their journey as fibre pioneers back in the swinging sixties, with a group of determined entrepreneurs creating textiles from recycled jute sacks.

All these years later we see a great need to bring like-minded people together to pioneer a new industrial revolution.

We’re working with scientists, primary producers, product designers, architects, advocacy groups and industry representatives to help redefine the way we shape our built environment.

A lot of exciting innovation is well underway and there’s a lot more to come.

The engine room

The people behind AFL have some very important values in common; we think industry is good and mistreating precious resources is bad. It’s what fires us up and points us in the right direction.
